Get set up in a few minutes

Step-by-step guides for connecting the VPN and setting up your password manager. Both use official, well-known apps — no custom software to install.

Connect to the VPN (WireGuard)

  1. Install the WireGuard app for your device — available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS from the official app stores.
  2. Log in to your VPN4All dashboard and go to the Connect tab to find your device's config.
  3. Add a new tunnel in WireGuard: scan the QR code shown on your dashboard directly from your phone, or download the .conf file and import it on desktop.
  4. Activate the tunnel — toggle it on in the WireGuard app. You're now routed through your residential Dutch IP.
  5. Confirm it worked by checking your IP address shows as Dutch on any "what's my IP" site.

Activate your password manager (Vaultwarden invite)

  1. Pay your invoice in the billing panel — once it's marked paid, an invitation email for Vaultwarden is sent automatically to your account email.
  2. Open the invitation link from that email and set your master password to finish creating your vault.
  3. Didn't get the email? Log in to your billing panel and use the "Resend Vaultwarden Invite" option on your VPN4All order — it'll be sent again right away.
  4. Access your vault anytime at vault.vpn4all.eu, or through the Bitwarden app once you've pointed it at that server URL.

Set up your password manager (Bitwarden + Vaultwarden)

  1. Install the Bitwarden app for your platform — desktop, browser extension, Android, or iOS, all from official sources.
  2. Open Settings before logging in and change the server URL to vault.vpn4all.eu — this points the official Bitwarden app at your VPN4All-hosted vault.
  3. Log in using the invitation link sent to your email after payment (see the "Activate your password manager" guide above if you need it resent).
  4. Import existing passwords if you're moving from a browser's built-in manager or another password manager — Bitwarden supports direct import from most major providers.
  5. Install the browser extension too, for autofill on every site you visit. You can always view your vault directly at vault.vpn4all.eu.

Add and manage multiple devices

  1. Go to your dashboard's device list and select "Add device."
  2. Name the device (e.g. "Laptop", "Phone") so you can recognize it later.
  3. Scan or download the new config the same way as your first device.
  4. Revoke access instantly from the dashboard any time — for example if a device is lost or sold.
